81st Anniversary of the Liberation of Teplá

The town of Teplá warmly invites you to mark the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the town by the 97th Infantry Division of the US Army (97th US Army), which will take place on Sunday 10 May 2026. The main programme will be held at Masarykovo náměstí in Teplá; a wreath-laying ceremony at the local cemetery is also part of the event.

The Liberty Convoy 2026 will bring American combat vehicles from World War II — JEEP, DODGE and GMC vehicles. The event is also dedicated in memoriam to Mr Petr Barchánek.

Programme

Sunday 10 May 2026 (Masarykovo náměstí, Teplá)

• 11:00 – Arrival of The Liberty Convoy 2026 (MEMORY OF 97TH US ARMY AND MR. PETR BARCHÁNEK)
• 11:30 – Wreath-laying ceremony at the local cemetery
• 12:00 – Concert by wind band HASIČANKA at Masarykovo náměstí; guided tour of vehicles, equipment and arms of the 97th ID
• 13:00 – 13:30 – Departure of the convoy
