96th Karlovy Vary City Prize – Horse Racing Day

Sunday 12 July 2026 brings a full day of horse racing at Hipodrom Holoubek in Karlovy Vary. The highlight is the 96th Karlovy Vary City Prize — a prestigious Category I race over 2,000 metres. The programme includes approximately eight flat and hurdle races starting at 13:30, lasting around 3.5 hours.

Spectators can watch from covered grandstands and follow their favourites trackside. The venue is served by city bus lines 1 and 2; parking at OC Varyáda nearby. Restaurace U Šimla has a terrace overlooking the track. Free entry for children under 12; reduced admission for ages 12–18 and seniors over 60. Arriving 30–45 minutes before the first race is recommended.
