Open Mills Day 2026

On 9 May 2026, as part of Open Mills Day, the historic mill at Stráž nad Ohří No. 1 will be exceptionally open to the public. Half-hour tours start every half hour from 14:00 to 17:30. For parking, use the car park at the former restaurant or turn left after the bridge over the Ohře towards the railway station. For a voluntary admission fee you will see a uniquely well-preserved mill including the original machinery and living quarters. Since last year, many newly restored items are on show — including a unique grain chute you can slide down.

During the afternoon, the first bread will be baked in the restored historic oven. From 19:00, the funk band Fankienz from Karlovy Vary performs, and draught beer is available.
