Family Day Nová Role
Family Day is a full-day outdoor event at the Nová Role swimming pool and newly opened skatepark (Chodovská 166, 362 25 Nová Role) on Saturday 16 May 2026, 10:00–17:00. Organised by Náhradním rodinám, o.p.s. Karlovy Vary in collaboration with the town of Nová Role, DDM Nová Role, and supported by the Karlovy Vary Region and MAS Krušné hory, o.p.s. Free admission.
The morning programme (10:00–13:00) features performances by clubs from DDM Nová Role and Karlovy Vary, a dance show by The FEMME – Dance Crew Karlovy Vary, and a dog training demonstration by ZKO Ostrov. The main stage kicks off at 14:00 with Šárka Vaňková and saxophonist Veronika Sax (14:00–14:40), followed by the music theatre Hnedle vedle (15:00) and closing with the band Shoe Cut (16:00–17:00). The Na koupáku pub hosts children's theatre by the DDM Nová Role drama club and a fairy-tale performance by the Ostrov amateur theatre.
All-day activities include a BMX and scooter exhibition at the new skatepark, zorbing, Cirkus Ceres, a mobile climbing wall, a miniature railway, face painting, horse riding, and craft stalls. Social service providers present their work, including an SDH Nová Role fire brigade vehicle show.
