Erzgebirgs-Bike-Marathon (EBM) Seiffen 2026
The Erzgebirgs-Bike-Marathon (EBM) in Kurort Seiffen is the oldest and, according to its organisers, the most legendary MTB marathon in Germany. Every year in early August the quiet Ore Mountains turn into a mecca for mountain bikers.
The weekend programme runs across 1–2 August 2026: Saturday 1 August is a festival and family day with a varied line-up of races for children and adults (from balance-bike races and dual slalom to e-bike and gravel events), while on Sunday 2 August the main marathon sets off at 9:00 with a mass start in three variants – EBM Bronze 40 km (ideal for beginners), EBM Silber 70 km (two 29 km laps plus a 12 km opening loop) and EBM Gold 100 km (the ultimate challenge for endurance riders) – complemented by the TeamChallenge.
Kurort Seiffen lies in the German part of the Ore Mountains near the Czech border and is famous as a centre for making wooden toys and Christmas decorations. Registration and details at ebm100.de.
