EURORANDO 2026
EURORANDO 2026 is the sixth edition of Europe's largest hiking festival, organised once every five years under the auspices of the European Ramblers' Association (ERA). The festival takes place 20–27 September 2026 in the Ore Mountains and for the first time in its history crosses a national border – the Czech side is centred around Boží Dar and Loučná pod Klínovcem, and the German side around Kurort Oberwiesenthal.
The main programme consists of four categories: guided hikes on 31 routes through the Ore Mountains (daily 21–25 Sept from Boží Dar, Loučná pod Klínovcem, and Kurort Oberwiesenthal), bus excursions to five destinations (Schneeberg, Ehrenfriedersdorf, Lesná, Seiffen, Krupka), adventure activities (Ohře River rafting, via ferrata), and self-guided marked routes requiring no booking. Guided hikes are included in the festival pass; bus and adventure activities must be booked separately.
The accompanying programme includes the opening and closing ceremonies, music and folk evenings, exhibitions, and sports events on both sides of the border. The symbolic highlight is the Stone Heart of Europe initiative: participants bring a stone from their home and together erect a stone cairn in Boží Dar on Saturday 26 September.
Tickets and hike bookings are available at eurorando2026.eu.
