Three Worlds of Spa Culture – Permanent Exhibition

The Three Worlds of Spa Culture exhibition is a permanent multimedia display woven throughout the entire building of Císařské lázně (the Imperial Baths) in Karlovy Vary. It has been open since 2 January 2026 and continues throughout the year.

The introductory space is the Atrium hall, featuring a large-format projection with spatial sound that immerses visitors in the world of natural phenomena – the peat bogs and fens of the Karlovy Vary Region and the processes by which they formed. The restored treatment rooms on the ground floor bring the history of European spa culture to life through illusory digital murals inhabited by historic figures associated with the Karlovy Vary spas. The third section traces the spirit of the 20th century against the backdrop of the changing spa culture. The Zander Hall holds a separate surprise.
