On Saturday 16 May 2026, Museum Cheb hosts the festive opening of the exhibition HURVÍNEK *1926 – FOREVER. The event takes place as part of the 22nd European Museum Night, when museums and galleries across European cities open their doors into the late evening. Visitors can experience both the new exhibition opening with its special programme and the entire permanent collection in a single evening. The exhibition marks 100 years since the creation of Hurvínek, one of the most famous Czech puppets, and explores the life of its creator, puppeteer and sculptor Gustav Noska (1887–1974), a close collaborator and friend of Josef Skupa, who lived and worked in Cheb during the 1960s and 70s.
