iPalpiti Orchestra
The festival continues beyond South Bohemia with concerts in Mariánské Lázně and Karlovy Vary, featuring Pavel Šporcl as soloist.
The iPalpiti Orchestra of International Laureates brings together award-winning musicians from 21 countries around the world.
The iPalpiti Orchestra [ee-PAHL-pee-tee, Italian for "the heartbeats"], praised by the international press for its "beautiful string playing," "shiny, polished tone," and "vocal quality," was founded in 1991 by maestro Eduard Schmieder, a distinguished professor at Temple University in Philadelphia.
iPalpiti has performed to sold-out audiences at prestigious venues such as the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Carnegie Hall (New York), and Disney Hall (Los Angeles), and has been invited as an ensemble-in-residence at festivals including Salzburg, Austria, and the Martha Argerich Festival in Japan.
iPalpiti is a symbol of international dialogue, youthful energy, and the union of musical cultures. These concerts affirm the European and global dimension of the Hvězdy nad Vltavou festival.
