Jan Royt: On the Gothic Heritage of Most

A talk with art historian Prof. PhDr. Ing. Jan Royt, Ph.D. from the Institute of Art History at Charles University, Prague, on Thursday 4 June 2026 at 5 PM at the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most.

The Late Gothic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Most is undoubtedly one of Europe's significant monuments. The economic and cultural importance of the royal city of Most in the medieval period is also illustrated by a number of exceptionally valuable works of art — some familiar from the permanent collection at the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most, others representing the development of Czech medieval art in the National Gallery in Prague.
