First-Timer's Theatre Walk of Karlovy Vary

Is this your first time in Karlovy Vary? Then join this evening theatrical walk that introduces the city's history with wit and lightness. The tour starts at the main entrance to the Hot Spring Colonnade (Vřídelní kolonáda).

The route leads from Vřídlo, where you will learn the legend of the city's founding, past the plague column and the sites of the Great Fire, to the Market Colonnade — where everything began. At the Mill Colonnade you will meet architect Zítek and discover why life wasn't easy for him in Karlovy Vary. The guide will also reveal what "Dupárna" is. The walk ends at St Mary Magdalene's Church with the troubles of Kilián Ignác and an unexpected finale.

Your guide is Viktor Braunreiter and his Street Theatre — a Karlovy Vary artist who leads further theatrical city tours this season.
