Discover the pillars of a spa town: the interactive exhibition "Karlovy Vary Heritage" at the Castle Tower draws you into the story

What truly makes Karlovy Vary world-class? The key attributes that earned it – together with ten other European spa towns – a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Nine interactive elements inside the tower's historic rooms engage all your senses. Collect all the attributes and the Spirit of the Springs will speak to you at the end.

Six pillars of the spa town:

• Mineral springs: Try healing a spa guest and discover the power of water 30,000 years old rising from underground.
• Internationalism: Find out why Karlovy Vary is called the "chessboard of Europe". At the spa, all are equal on a shared path to health.
• Therapeutic landscape: Discover the power of 70 km of forest trails and the negative ions that measurably restore the mind.
• Spa infrastructure: Peek inside the hidden network of pipes carrying mineral water.
• Historic urban landscape: Witness the harmony of colonnades and celebrated buildings blending seamlessly with the wild Teplá River valley.
• Continuing function: Understand that the tradition of taking the waters is still alive here and developing for future generations.

With augmented reality (AR) and a tablet you will see hidden animations and 3D models created by PlaceHolder Studio. The exhibition was produced in collaboration between the city and its Tourist Information Centre with support from the Karlovy Vary Region.

Adults 150 CZK | Students, children under 15, seniors, disability card holders 75 CZK Tickets at the Castle Tower café, 1st floor.
