Guided Tour of the Observatory
The František Krejčí Observatory in Karlovy Vary offers guided tours for the public. The approximately one-hour tour with a commentary guide takes visitors through the history of the observatory and introduces current astronomical research. The guide demonstrates the telescopes and instruments of the observatory and explains the basics of astronomy in a way accessible to all ages.
The programme includes the original show Kouzlo Karlovarského kraje (The Magic of the Karlovy Vary Region). Tours are suitable from age 10 and are conducted in Czech.
Admission: adults 200 CZK, students and seniors 150 CZK, children 80 CZK, family ticket 420 CZK. Payment by cash or QR code on the day. Evening stargazing sessions require a telephone booking at +420 357 070 595 (daily 13:00–16:00).
