Kulmbach Trails 2026

Kulmbach Trails is a trail running event organised by the Crazy Runners Frankenwald team in the historic brewing city of Kulmbach below the Plassenburg castle. On 27 September 2026 runners start directly from the city centre and head out onto the natural trails of the Frankenwald.

Four categories are on offer: Mini Trail (shortest route, suitable for beginners), Short Trail, Long Trail (approximately 29 km) and a Kids Race. The organisers emphasise an inclusive approach — every finisher receives the same medal regardless of chosen distance.

Kulmbach is an attractive visitor destination: in addition to the race, guests can visit Plassenburg castle, the Kulmbacher brewery or the beer museum. Registration at datasport.de.
