MAOK – Concert at the Church of the Assumption

On Saturday 18 July 2026 at 19:00, Slovak musician MAOK performs at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Most. The performance is built around live improvisation — without a fixed score. MAOK concerts are presented as a focused experience guiding audiences from deep stillness to powerful emotion through acoustic instruments and keyboard layers resonating with the space.

The Church of the Assumption is one of the most significant late Gothic churches in Central Europe. In 1975, the entire building — weighing approximately 12,000 tonnes — was relocated on rails over nearly a kilometre to make way for brown coal mining. The feat is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The decorated interior with outstanding acoustics creates an ideal space for intimate improvisation.
