Milión

The comedy Milión by Vilém Dubnička follows the famous actor, director and theatre manager Filip Martén, whose stage has been eaten by woodworm. To save what he has spent a lifetime building, he needs one million euros — so he sets out in person to ask the mysterious billionaire and arts patron Jean Petitér, a man who otherwise shuns all public life. What seems at first to be a mere financial pretext quickly develops into an unexpected clash between two strong personalities.

The two leading roles are taken by Hynek Čermák and Vladimír Polívka under the direction of the playwright himself. The production offers sharp comic dialogue full of twists and runs 75 minutes.
