Saturday, 3 October 2026, 11:00
Ends: Saturday, 3 October 2026, 13:00
Sehmatal-Neudorf (start) → Fichtelberg (cíl)

The Neudorfer Fichtelberglauf is a legendary mountain run in the Ore Mountains that has been considered the toughest race of its kind in Saxony since 1987. The 38th edition is held on Saturday 3 October 2026, with a mass start at 11:00 in Sehmatal-Neudorf and the finish on the summit of the Fichtelberg (1,215 m), Saxony's highest mountain.

The main course measures 9.4 km and climbs 550 metres from Neudorf all the way to the summit. For the third year running, the race is staged as the open mountain-running championship. Pre-registration is possible until 30 September 2026.

The Fichtelberg lies in the German part of the Ore Mountains directly above the Czech towns of Boží Dar and Klínovec, making the event easy to reach from the Czech side as well. More at fichtelberglauf.de.
