Kostel sv. Ignáce z Loyoly, náměstí 1. Máje, Chomutov

The national Night of Churches 2026 visits the early-Baroque St Ignatius of Loyola Church in Chomutov, built from 1663 by Jesuits to a design by Italian architect Carlo Lurago.

Visitors can enjoy a rich programme combining music, a guided tour of the interior, and a moment of spiritual reflection. The church is wheelchair-accessible; admission is free. Organised by the Chomutov parish in collaboration with the national Night of Churches initiative.

Friday 29 May 2026 – 18:00 Concert by the vocal-instrumental ensemble MADRIGAL, conducted by MgA. Hana Ondráčková – 19:30 Guided tour of the interior with Chomutov Library director Bedřich Fryč – 20:30 Performance by the Chomutov Flautists and Chomutov Trumpeters – 21:30 Silent meditation with illuminated church (until 21:50)
