Move the Region: Karlovy Vary Region Open Day

The Karlovy Vary Regional Office invites the general public to a unique Open Day under the subtitle "Move the Region", taking place on Saturday 23 May 2026 from 10:00 to 16:00 at the regional institutions complex. The aim of the event is to promote health through physical activity and inspire visitors of all generations to spend their free time actively and meaningfully. The event's partner is Pohneme Českem (Let's Move Czechia).

Sports activities on offer include archery, disc golf, fencing, a rowing simulator, volleyball, floorball, boxing, judo, basketball, ice hockey, badminton, orienteering, athletics, shooting with the Czech Armed Forces and more. Short nordic walking walks and chair yoga classes are also planned.

The cultural programme on the main stage is provided by pupils of art schools and regional artists. In front of the Srdcovka café, conversations with regional personalities from sport and other fields will be held. The Karlovy Vary Regional Library will also be open that day, hosting the Institute of Spa and Balneology, the Karlovy Vary Regional Hospital, the Karlovy Vary Regional Office with a presentation of the digital technical map, and a new café in the library's premises.

A day-long children's game leads visitors through individual stops where they collect stamps for completed tasks; handing in a completed stamp card earns a small prize. Children can also visit the Museum Karlovy Vary stand and make a keepsake from natural or recycled materials.
