Viktor Braunreiter's Street Theatre: In Search of the Imperial Bath's Secrets
An extraordinary tour led by the Viktor Braunreiter Street Theatre ensemble.
This guided route takes you to spaces not accessible on a standard visit. Together we will explore the service staircase, look into the connecting corridor once used to transport peat baths, and climb right up to the rooftop where the spring-water tanks were stored. We will examine the architectural genius of the building's designers Fellner and Helmer, and learn about the lives of the spa staff.
We will also admire the building's magnificent architecture and, if the weather permits, walk around the entire exterior. You will discover who is behind the names on the building's facade, where the hidden spring fairy (vřídelní víla) is concealed in the façade, and which decorative elements had to be removed after the founding of Czechoslovakia.
