Faith Behind Barbed Wire

The outdoor exhibition Faith Behind Barbed Wire by Post Bellum (Memory of Nations) presents the stories of people who preserved their religious convictions despite communist repression. Jáchymov – known for its uranium mines where political prisoners were forced to work – is a profoundly symbolic location for such an exhibition.

The exhibition is installed outside St Joachim's Church in Jáchymov and will be on view from 29 May until the end of June 2026. It will then move to the Řetízkárna venue. Organised by Post Bellum / Paměť národa, an organisation documenting the testimonies of witnesses to Nazism and communism.
