Elizabeth Baths Swimming Pool

The swimming pool at Alžbětiny lázně, the Elizabeth Baths, sits inside one of Karlovy Vary's landmark spa buildings. The Art Nouveau complex from 1906 was named in honour of Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria, known as Sisi, and stands in Smetana Gardens in the centre of the city. After major reconstruction in 1969-1973, the historic shell gained a modern aqua-wellness interior.

As part of Lázně V, the complex is not only a place for swimming, but also one of Karlovy Vary's major spa and balneology facilities.

Pool and wellness facilities

Inside the bright atrium you will find:

• 25 m swimming pool, 29 °C, suitable for morning laps and recreational swimming
• Relaxation pool, 31 °C, with four massage elements for loosening muscles
• Whirlpool, 32 °C, with air massage for joints and back
• Children's paddling pool, 32 °C, shallow and warm for the youngest visitors
• Saunas and steam cabins, including Finnish sauna and steam in age-separated sections

The wider spa complex also offers treatments such as thermal mineral baths, massages, thermotherapy, hydrotherapy, rehabilitation and electrotherapy. A special Karlovy Vary experience is a bath using natural local thermal water.

Admission

Multi-entry passes start from CZK 970 for 500 minutes. Reservations and pass purchases are available through app.spa5.cz.

Practical information

• Pool admission covers the pool area; spa treatments are booked and paid separately.
• Last entry is possible no later than 90 minutes before closing.
• The first Monday of each month is closed for sanitation.
• Key deposit: CZK 100, returned when you leave.
• Hairdryer rental is free with a CZK 100 deposit.
