Boží Trail – MTB Singletrack above Boží Dar

Boží trail · Pod rozhlednou Boží vyhlídka, u sjezdovky Za Prahou, 362 62 Boží Dar, Karlovarský kraj, Česko

Boží Trail is a small but surprisingly memorable bike stop just above Boží Dar. It is not a large trail centre or a long mountain ride. It is a short, playful singletrack that you ride once to warm up, a second time to find a cleaner line, and a third time simply because the berms, tabletops, and smaller jumps have a satisfying rhythm.

The trail also has a good backstory. Its beginnings go back to 2003, and it was restored in 2020. What started as a fourcross-style track has become a compact local trail: slightly hidden, modest in size, but with real character. Above Boží Dar, close to the Za Prahou ski slope and below the Boží vyhlídka lookout, it is a quick technical treat for riders who like their fun concentrated.

How to ride it

The start is below the Boží vyhlídka lookout at 50.4059503, 12.9320361. The trail runs toward the Za Prahou slope and finishes near the slope service building. Because the surrounding meadow makes the return straightforward, it is easy to climb or roll back to the start and ride another lap.

Do not come expecting big kilometres. Boží Trail is more of a quick hit: a short descent, several turns, smaller jumps, and sections where you can practise line choice, looking ahead, and confidence in berms.

Who it suits

The trail is shaped so that newer mountain bikers can try it, but it still gives experienced riders something to play with. Beginners get a manageable length and the chance to repeat the same line; stronger riders can focus on speed, pop, and cleaner cornering.

It works best as an add-on to a Boží Dar trip, a warm-up before a bigger bike day, or a short technical stop while exploring the Klínovec and Neklid area.

Admission and prices

The trail itself is a freely accessible outdoor track. Your main costs are transport, your own equipment, and optionally cycling maps from the Boží Dar Information Centre.

Practical information

Bring a mountain bike in good working order, a helmet, and basic respect for the features. Although the track is beginner-friendly, it still includes berms, jumps, and tabletops, so take the first run slower and read the line.

The best time is the dry part of the cycling season, usually from spring to autumn. After rain, the surface can be slippery and more vulnerable to damage. Ride considerately, do not stop on landings, and check the current condition of the trail or slope area before setting out.
