Discgolf Kadaň - Rooseveltovy sady

Discgolf Kadaň - Rooseveltovy sady is one of the most enjoyable disc golf courses in north-west Bohemia. Opened in 2013 and expanded to 18 holes in 2015, it spreads through the 28-hectare natural park of Rooseveltovy sady, where wooded passages, open meadows, a stream and a small water area give each section a different rhythm.

The course works well for players with their own disc set, but it is also an easy way for families or groups of friends to try the sport for the first time. The park setting keeps the game relaxed, while the longer open holes and technical wooded lines still make accuracy matter.

Course and play

The 18-hole course is about 1,476 metres long with par 60. Shorter technical holes test control around trees and terrain, while the open meadow holes reward a long, straight throw. The course is unfenced, freely accessible and does not close at night, so it is easy to fit in a spontaneous round after work or on a summer evening.

Disc rental

If you do not have your own discs, equipment can be rented at the Víceúčelová sportovní hala Kadaň, right by the course. Different disc shapes and weights are available for different types of throws.

Around the park

Rooseveltovy sady offers more than disc golf. You will also find minigolf, an outdoor workout gym, a cycle and inline-skating route, walking loops through greenery, a stream and water feature, and toilets directly in the park. The surrounding hills - Bystřický kopec, Jelení vrch and Zlatý vrch - give the place a pleasant landscape backdrop.

Practical information

Use of the disc golf course is free. Free parking is available by Sportovní hala Kadaň or near the nearby Kaufland supermarket. A round usually takes 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on group size and pace.
