Drei-Talsperren-Marathon Anytime
Marathonverein Eibenstock e.V. · Rathausplatz 1, 08309 Eibenstock, Deutschland
Drei-Talsperren-Marathon Anytime is the kind of sports challenge that turns the Ore Mountains into a personal fitness benchmark. You do not wait for race day: buy a digital starter pass, choose a running or MTB route around Eibenstock and start when it fits your plans. Your phone guides you through the checkpoints, the result appears in the online ranking after completion, and finishers receive a medal and certificate.
Routes
The challenge is based on the traditional Drei-Talsperren-Marathon and uses routes around the three reservoirs of Eibenstock, Carlsfeld and Sosa, with forest sections in the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park and the Ore Mountains Mining Region landscape. The main website is dtm-jederzeit.de, with registration via Anmelden.

Live September race
DTM-Jederzeit is the permanent sister challenge of the main Drei-Talsperren-Marathon. The live event takes place every year on the third Saturday in September in Eibenstock; in 2026 that is 19 September, with start and finish at Bretschneider Sportstätte. Choose the one-day Drei-Talsperren-Marathon event if you want the mass-start atmosphere, race-day programme and official competition feel.
Admission
Participation requires a smartphone starter pass. The shorter routes cost EUR 12; the marathon, 50 km and 100 km options cost EUR 16. The price includes a finisher medal, participant certificate and optional inclusion in the results list.
Practical information
The project is presented as an anytime challenge, but the registration terms list the routes as usable each year from 1 April to 30 November. They follow public forest roads and roads, so this is not a closed race course. The smartphone solution also works offline; internet is mainly needed to start and later upload the result. GPS is recommended, while manual checkpoint questions are available if GPS fails. Start with a charged phone and treat the route as a demanding mountain challenge.
