Bikecentrum Smrčiny

Bikecentrum Smrčiny is a trail centre on Háj hill near Aš, connected with the local sports area and the visitor facilities of Ašské lesy. The trails are designed so that newer riders can build technique step by step, while more experienced mountain bikers still have enough terrain to enjoy. Near the campsite and sports area there is also a 4-cross track with large jumps, described by the operator as one of the most demanding 4X tracks in Europe.

Activities

The centre lists the Jahn and Koerner downhill trails starting on Háj hill near the lookout tower, the Bismarck climbing trail from the sports area and the longer technical Faust trail through the wider surroundings of Háj. Wooden gates with route names and coloured tree markings help with orientation. There are repair stands in the area for small bike fixes, and e-bikes can be charged inside the sports area.

Practical Information

According to the operator, the bike centre is free to use and has no fixed opening hours. Actual rideability still depends on weather, surface conditions and forestry activity, so come with a helmet, a well-prepared bike and respect for other forest users. The trails are freely accessible and do not require booking.
