Via Ferrata Beduín – Rajecké údolí (Stříbrná)

Via Ferrata Beduín packs a surprisingly full climbing experience into a short line of rock above Rajecké údolí near Stříbrná. The protected routes run through a small rock town on the Beduín massif and suit climbers who already move confidently on steep, exposed via ferrata terrain.

The secured sections add up to about 250 metres. The attraction is not its length but its concentration: vertical steps, traverses, rope bridges and short power sections follow one another quickly, with very little easy ground between them.

Routes and difficulty

The longest blue route (C) combines vertical climbs, traverses and two rope bridges. Its key passage comes just before the second bridge, where the traverse around the rock edge feels closer to C/D and rewards calm footwork.

The yellow variant (D) adds steeper climbing and a rope crossing between rock towers. Strong arms help here; experienced visitors may prefer to use a rest sling or their own pulley on the crossing. The green line (D/E) is the hardest option and should be treated as a real strength-and-technique challenge.

What makes it special

On paper the ferrata looks short, but on the rock it feels intense. The grades are firm, the exposure arrives quickly, and the rope link between two rock masses gives the route a light alpine character inside the Ore Mountains forest.

Access

Park by the road in the direction of Přebuz. From there follow the red hiking mark at first, then turn onto the cycle routes leading toward the start. From the information board by the path, the first cable is only a few minutes away. The descent returns by the same side on a trodden forest path.

Practical information

Allow about 90 minutes for the visit, longer when several groups are waiting at the rope bridges. Use a full via ferrata set and helmet, and avoid the route in storms, on wet rock or in icy conditions. This is a free, year-round outdoor route, but it is best saved for dry weather and climbers with previous via ferrata experience.
