Holubí Rocks (Zlatý kopec)
Holubí skály (Zlatý kopec) · Háje, 362 35 Potůčky
Holubí Rocks, also known as Zlatý kopec, lie in a remote mountain valley on the Czech side of Komáří potok near the German border. The landscape between Horní Blatná, Potůčky and Boží Dar is quiet, forested and unmistakably Krušné hory in character. This is not an urban attraction; it suits visitors who want a longer walk in borderland forests combined with small rock formations.
What to See
ČHS describes schist rock with grey quartz lenses, about twenty metres high, and more than sixty routes. Sub-crags include Okenní, Medvědí skála, Supí skála, Žehlička, Komáří and Jelení. The printed guide stresses that fixed protection is sparse and that natural placements are important.
Practical Information
Access is not a short stroll from a car park. ČHS suggests approaches from Potůčky along the state border and the cycle route towards Boží Dar, or from Boží Dar via Český Mlýn and a forest road near the border. Expect several kilometres of mountain terrain, changeable weather and limited mobile signal.
