Kletterwelt Erzgebirge is an indoor climbing hall in the valley between Pockau and Marienberg, a useful cross-border idea when you want movement without depending on mountain weather. On the CVJM Strobel-Mühle site you will find high climbing walls, bouldering, a children's climbing area and beginner courses. For visitors exploring the Ore Mountains, it works well as an active stop around Seiffen, Marienberg or Pockau: less viewpoint, more focus, hands on holds and the small thrill of reaching the top.
Climbing and courses
The main climbing hall offers walls up to 14 m high and more than 50 routes for beginners and advanced climbers. Most climbing is TopRope with the TopStop braking system; lead climbing is possible in the marked area by arrangement with the hall team. The facility also includes a bouldering room, a kids' climbing area, a climbing play area and a 13 m rope ladder.
Beginners from age 7 can take a basic climbing course during opening hours when needed. Experienced climbers can start after their climbing and belaying skills have been checked. Wednesday solo climbing from 17:00 is useful for climbers who arrive without a belay partner.

Children up to their 5th birthday enter free. Reduced prices apply to pupils, students, apprentices, civil-service/voluntary-service participants and FSJ with valid proof. Card payment is available on site.
Practical information
Summer opening hours from 13 April are listed as Wednesday and Thursday 17:00-21:00, Friday and Saturday 14:00-21:00, with Sunday to Tuesday closed. If there are no guests in the hall, the operator may close as early as 19:15. Groups of 12 or more can book outside normal opening hours by prior arrangement.
Independent climbing requires sufficient climbing and belaying knowledge, or completion of the basic course. Minors need parental consent; children under 14 may climb only with a parent/guardian, or with written permission and another adult who can prove climbing experience. Bring sports clothing, clean indoor shoes and budget for harness or shoe rental if you do not have your own equipment.
