Kozodoj Farm

Kozodoj Farm is a hands-on environmental education centre in the Rolava valley on the edge of Karlovy Vary. It works best as a planned visit: come for a guided animal tour, an environmental education programme or a pre-arranged horse activity rather than expecting a casual drop-in attraction. The farm follows the rhythm of animals, staff and weather, so arrange your visit in advance through the Kozodoj contact page.

Tours and programmes

The public tour is experiential: a guide meets visitors at the farm gate and takes them into the animal areas, with close contact with llamas, donkeys, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, poultry and other farm animals. Weekend and public-holiday tours usually start at 14:30 and last about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the group. Check current details on the tour page.

For schools, Kozodoj offers environmental education for nursery, primary and secondary schools, talks and student practice placements. School groups should book ahead via the Schools section and by phone; this is a guided programme, not a self-service visit.

Admission

Payment is by cash or on-site QR code. Confirm prices in advance for special activities, horse experiences, camps and school programmes.

Practical information

Booking ahead is essential, especially for weekend tours, horse rides, camps, school programmes and groups. Wear outdoor/sport clothing and expect a working farm environment. Tours do not run in prolonged rain. Dogs should not be taken into the inner farm area. Suitable animal treats, such as dry bread, carrots or apples, can be brought when appropriate.

By public transport, get off at Stará Role, served by buses 3, 9 and 15, then continue on foot across the railway crossing and bridge.
