Lookout Tower on Blatenský Hill

The Lookout Tower on Blatenský Hill is a 21-metre stone tower above Horní Blatná. Built in 1913 by the local winter-sports association, it adds a compact historic highlight to a ridge walk and rewards the climb with wide views over the Ore Mountains.

There are 85 steps to the viewing deck. The Boží Dar tourism page lists summer-holiday opening daily from 9:00 to 17:00, with weekend opening outside the main season; check current hours before a dedicated trip.

Practical Information

The viewing deck is not wheelchair-accessible because of the staircase. The tower works especially well as part of a walk from Horní Blatná, combined with Vlčí jámy or the Blatenský příkop trail.
