Becherovka Visitor Centre

Advance booking is required for tours of the Becherovka Visitor Centre. The centre stands in Karlovy Vary in the historic Steinberky building, built by Jan Becher in 1867 and used for more than a century as the original factory for the traditional herbal liqueur.

The visit combines brand history with a hands-on museum experience: historical Becherovka bottles, Becher family objects, recipe books, awards and accounting ledgers sit alongside interactive stations where you can smell herbs and spices, taste the Karlovy Vary water used in production and use VR goggles to step onto the bottling line. The tour finishes with a guided tasting of Jan Becher products.

You can also buy Becherovka in the shop and taste it in the bar. Individual visitors can join tours, but capacity is limited.

Practical information

Book before you travel, especially for weekend dates and non-Czech tours. Visitors under 18 do not receive an alcohol tasting.
