Open Doors Stříbrná

Otevřené dveře Stříbrná · bývalá obec Nová Ves, 358 01 Stříbrná

Open Doors Stříbrná is a small, very photogenic viewpoint in the western Ore Mountains. It is not a classic lookout tower or a staffed attraction, but a simple wooden door frame set into the landscape. Step through it or look through the opening and the hills, meadows and forests of the Kraslice area become the view.

The spot lies near the former village of Nová Ves by Stříbrná, in a quieter corner between Kraslice, Stříbrná and Přebuz. A mountain road, cycling route and marked walking routes pass through the area below Bukový vrch. The installation works best as a short stop on a walk or bike ride, a place to pause rather than a destination with visitor facilities.

What to Expect

The doors act as an invitation into the landscape and as a playful frame for photos. They are most rewarding in clear weather, when the view opens across the wooded Ore Mountains. The site is deliberately modest and easy to miss, so save the route in your map before setting out.

Practical Information

The viewpoint is freely accessible year-round and has no admission fee. There are no refreshments, toilets or staffed services directly at the installation. Access leads through open countryside around former Nová Ves, so sturdy footwear is useful after rain, in winter and away from the main road.

A visit can be combined with Stříbrná, Kraslice, Přebuz, local cycling routes or other small viewpoints in the western Ore Mountains.
