Plešivec Rope Park is one of the best ways to turn a trip to the mountain above Abertamy into an active summer experience. Among the trees you will find adult rope routes roughly 4-12 metres above the ground, a children's netted rope course, and the wider AREÁL Plešivec setting with the lookout tower, restaurant and other attractions close by. It is more than a side note to the ski resort: in summer, Plešivec has its own rhythm of movement, views, a little height-induced courage and a well-earned pause afterwards.
Experience
The adult rope park runs directly through the forest. After instruction, you receive climbing safety gear and move across bridges, ropes, nets, walkways, traverses and platforms between the trees. The current adrenaline-park site lists two main routes, medium and hard; the resort page uses a broader description of the rope park, so check which routes are open before travelling.
Children have their own wooded course with safety nets. It is designed for younger visitors from age 3, has 11 obstacles and runs about 1-3 metres above the ground. That makes the place useful for families: older children and adults can take on the higher obstacles while younger children still get a proper rope-park experience rather than just a playground.

Practical information
The adrenaline attractions area lists opening as Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 11:00-17:00, weather permitting. As with any outdoor mountain attraction, rain, wind or storms can affect operation. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that let you climb, reach and sit safely in a harness.
The adult rope park is for visitors older than 10 and taller than 140 cm. The children's rope park is for children from age 3. Before each entry there is instruction, climbing belay equipment is used, and the rope centre is certified.

The rope park is in the Plešivec area above Abertamy, at Plešivecká 445, 362 35 Abertamy. For walkers, families and the bobsleigh track, the natural access point is from the Abertamy / Plešivecká side; some activities in the wider resort also use the Pstruží access point.
