Moser Glassworks Tour and Glass Museum

Moser Glassworks in Karlovy Vary lets visitors step close to the making of hand-blown crystal: the heat of the hot shop, wooden moulds, glowing glass and the calm precision of master glassmakers. The visit can be combined with the Moser Museum, the company shop and Café Moser overlooking Ludwig Moser Square with its crystal fountain and glass sculpture.

Tours

Production tours are available in Czech, German, English and Russian. The museum uses an audio guide in nine languages, so it works well even if you choose the museum separately. The visitor circuit can be booked as the museum plus production tour, museum only, production tour only, or with time in the company shop.

2026 operating notes

From 11 April 2026, the glassworks hot shop is closed on Saturdays while the museum, café and sales gallery remain open. The hot shop is also closed for the company holiday from 13-26 July 2026 and from 21 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. Limited operation is planned for 5-6 July and 17 November 2026; the whole visitor centre is closed on 28 September, 28 October and 24-26 December 2026.

Practical information

The glassworks visit is strongest when the hot shop is running: you see the material being blown and shaped by hand, and the smell of heated wooden moulds is part of the atmosphere. For a quieter visit, combine the museum with Café Moser and the shop or sales gallery.
