Wurzelrudi's Adventure World

Wurzelrudi's Adventure World (Wurzelrudis Erlebniswelt) in Eibenstock, Saxony, just across the border from Potůčky, is a family park spread over several levels of a hillside. Boredom doesn't stand a chance here – the fun builds from the valley all the way up to the summit.

At the bottom you'll find a 1,200-metre all-weather bobsleigh track – the longest in Saxony – plus a maze with two entrances and a climbing area, a tyre slide that is guaranteed to make you dizzy, the Freche Flitzer tricycle racers and a petting zoo.

The Adlerfelsenbahn chairlift carries you up to the next adventure levels: the Murmelwald marble-run forest and a pirate play ship with a water playground, and at the top Wurzelrudi's Seedorf – a large, colourful castle with slides, hiding places, a treetop walkway, a role-playing village and a raft ride. There is also an eagle lake and a sky swing. In winter the area turns into a ski arena.

• Open from Easter to mid-November, daily 9:30–18:00; last chairlift descent at 17:15 (weekends only in September – check the current calendar online).
• Prices from: bobsleigh 3 €, chairlift 5 €, maze 2.50 €, tyre slide 1.50 €; packages Basic 9.50 €, Basic+ 17.50 €, Premium 22.50 €. Tickets also online.
• Free parking at the chairlift valley station. Three restaurants on site (incl. Adleralm) and a hostel at the entrance.
